About

This website was developed as part of a university project at the HSD (Hochschule Düsseldorf) inspired by an excursion to ancient caves in the Dordogne, France. The goal is to let users experience the creative spirit of early humans, just as they once painted on cave walls, using light and shadow to bring their visions to life.

Here, you can draw freely, experiment with forms, and capture the feeling of painting in the dark—just as our ancestors did with fire-lit walls. Whether you create simple sketches or intricate compositions, this digital space invites you to connect with the past through art.

Step into the role of a prehistoric artist, explore the power of light and darkness, and leave your own modern cave paintings in the gallery. You can also explore the artworks of other artists.
